Las Cucharas Beach
270 metres of golden sand protected by a breakwater. No waves — perfect with children. Windsurf at the eastern end — the trade winds blow steadily from the west.
Lanzarote's first planned residential resort — launched in 1971 with César Manrique as urban consultant. Low-rise white houses, native vegetation, a four-kilometre seafront promenade linking five beaches. Tinaguache is five minutes' walk from Las Cucharas.
Costa Teguise · promenade and Las Cucharas beach

270 metres of golden sand protected by a breakwater. No waves — perfect with children. Windsurf at the eastern end — the trade winds blow steadily from the west.

A small clear-water cove. Costa Teguise's best snorkel spot: rocks on each side create rich seabeds.

The most local one. Coarse sand, a single palm, gentle waves. Fish restaurant at the foot of the promenade. Locals stay here.

Between beaches, the promenade crosses stretches of black volcanic rock. Natural pools that fill with the tide. Only seen by those who walk.

In 1976, César Manrique drew Costa Teguise's social heart: a round volcanic-cobblestone plaza, curved white buildings, central palms. Restaurants, terraces, Friday market, Saturday outdoor concerts. No traffic — all on foot.
Costa Teguise gathers a huge dining offering — Canarian, Italian, Asian, British, Tex-Mex, vegan cuisine. Irish pubs on tap, seafront terraces, fish restaurants at the marina. All on foot, all five minutes from Tinaguache. No need to drive to dine.

Costa Teguise gathers Lanzarote's four big chains: Hiperdino (Canarian, everything local), Mercadona (widest basket), Lidl (German quality at low prices), Spar (24-hour, last-minute essentials). All within ten minutes' drive from Tinaguache. Cook well without compromise.
Canarian, Italian, Asian, British cuisine. Irish pubs that don't overwhelm the promenade. Warm-lit terraces until eleven. The fun lasts, but it doesn't shout — Costa Teguise was designed that way, and has stayed that way.

21 °C annual average. Sun all year round. Rain, almost never.
Ten minutes by car from the airport. Twenty from Arrecife. But the feel is of a large village with its own rhythm: dawn walks, sunset beers.
